Strangers among locals

The streets of Bharatpur

The streets of Bharatpur

Bharatpur… a small town south-west of Delhi where time stood still. No must-see touristic area’s, no souvenir shops… just genuine, simple life. Exactly how I like it! Irina & myself got ourselfs a riksja driver, Rajskiit and explored this town for half a day. Wherever we stopped would be a gathering of the locals, surrounding us and staring as we were rarities. Others would just wave, even from the rooftops and welcome us…

Fatehpur Sikri

Fatehpur Sikri

Funny feeling I must say but a wonderful experience to mingle among the locals and discover their own way of life.  While wandering around in the streets we took also some time to visit the local temple & mosk before heading to our next stop… Fatehpur Sikri. Slighly more touristic as there is a nice temple & huge mosk to visit.
